Short bio

I am associate professor at the ETHICS Lab of the Lille Catholic University. I earned a Ph.D. in philosophy from the University of Verona. I have been postdoctoral researcher at the same University and at the Fonds Ricoeur (“Oratoire-Ricoeur” fellowship) in Paris. I have been postdoctoral researcher of the FCT (Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia, the Portuguese National Research Foundation) at the University of Porto. I have been assistant professor in contemporary philosophy at the University of Burgundy, visiting professor at the MICA (Médiations, Information, Communication et Arts) Lab of the University of Bordeaux Montaigne, and visiting researcher at the COSTECH (Connaissance, Organisation et Systèmes Techniques) Lab at the University of Technology of Compiègne. My research focuses on technological imaginaries, hermeneutics, and theories of the digital.

I am currently teaching philosophy of technology and critical digital studies in different departments and schools at the UCLille: ISTC Stratégies & Communications (36h); M.A. in digital communication (18h); game design school Pôle 3D (50h). I am also lecturing “internet & philosophy” at the Paris Nanterre University (24h).

As an assistant professor in philosophy at the University of Burgundy, I have been teaching in several branches of philosophy, mostly at B.A. level: political philosophy, aesthetics and philosophy of art, anthropological philosophy, philosophy of language, philosophy of technology, ancient philosophy, history of modern ideas (192h in total).

Moreover, I have been lecturing history of philosophy at the University of Verona during my PhD (24hx3), ethics and politics of (big) data at the department of communication and media studies of the University of Paris 13 (18h in 2015-2016), and digital culture of the university of Porto (24h in 2014-2015).
